“BESTIE!” KihyA shouted as soon as she saw Hyoyeon walking into school. She ran over to her and hugged her.
“Annyeong KihyA ah!” Hyoyeon said cheerfully.
“Isn’t your birthday coming up?” KiHyA asked her while they were walking to school together.
“Neh!” Hyoyeon replied.
“Are you thowing a party? Can I help?”
"Yes I am and sure, of course you can help!”
Just then, fangirls started screaming behind them.
“OMG IT’S THE KINGKAS, SHINEE!”
“KEY OPPA!”
“MINHO OPPA!”
“TAEMIN OPPA!”
“JONGHYUN OPPA”
“ONEW OPPA!”
KihyA nudged Hyoyeon on the arm, “Hey, look who’s here…” she said, with a cheeky grin.
Hyoyeon blushed. Then, SHINee started making their way to them.
“Hey girls!” Key said.
The whole school knows that SHINee, Hyoyeon and KihyA are best friends so no one dares to to anything to them.
“Hello!” KihyA said, while Hyoyeon only slightly waved and blushed. Hyoyeon likes Key ever since she saw him till now. Only KihyA knows about this so she always teases Hyoyeon about it with this.
“Hyoyeon’s birthday is coming and she has invited all of you to come!” KihyA beamed.
“Really? Then we will be there for sure!” Jonghyun exclaimed.
KKKKRRRRIIIIINGGGGGGGG. The bell for the first period rang.
“Well, off to class everyone! See you!” Onew commanded them and all of them left.
-Next Day-
“Hyoyeon! Hyoyeon!" KihyA exclaimed from behind. Hyoyeon turned around and KihyA was waving a stack of paper in front of her.
“What’s that?” Hyoyeon asked curiously, pointing at the stack of paper on KihyA hands.
“This is everything I’ve planned for your party this coming Saturday,” KihyA said and winked. She passed it to Hyoyeon and she read every single page.
“Wow… KihyA this is really detailed! You are amazing bestie!” Hyoyeon beamed and hugged KihyA.
“Of course I am!” KihyA said proudly. They walked to class side by side. On the way there, they bumped into the kingkas again. Hyoyeon quickly hid the stack of papers behind her.
“Hyoyeon noona, what’s that you are holding?” Taemin asked cutely.
“Ermmm….” Hyoyeon was stuck but luckily KihyA saved her, “It’s just our homework, Taemin.”
Hyoyeon mouthed the phrase thank you to her and she smiled.
The 2 girls excused themselves first and went back to class. They arrived there earlier so they started to plan the decorations for the party. KihyA suggested it to have many pink and purple streams all around the house and party poppers too.
The 2 girls were so engrossed in it that they didn’t realise the teacher was staring at them.
“KIHYA, HYOYEON! DETENTION AFTER THIS!” The teacher shouted across the room. Both of them jumped on their seat. They lowered their head and said,
“Neh….”
-After school-
Detention was finally over for them but they were actually laughing at it. Well, that’s what best friends always do. After KihyA said she wants to look for something for Hyoyeon’s birthday, Hyoyeon had to go back home herself.
When she walked out of school, she spotted Key leaning outside the gate with his headphones on and his hands were in his pockets.
*wow… he is so handsome* Hyoyeon thought. She snapped out of that and walked towards him. She tapped him on the shoulders and smiled at him. He took of the headphones and said,
“Hey,” he gave her a soft smile.
“Hey. What are you doing here?” Hyoyeon asked
“Waiting for someone.”
“Oh okay, Then I’ll leave first,” Hyoyeon and was about to leave but Key pulled her by the wrist back.
“I’m waiting for you,” Key said.
Hyoyeon blushed and turned her head away.
“Allow me to walk you home,” Key said like a gentleman he was.
“Sure,” Hyoyeon shyly replied.
Key started a conversation with her, like asking her what she is planning for her party and stuffs. Not long later, they’ve reached outside Hyoyeon’s house.
She turned to him before she went home and said,” Thank you for sending me home, Key oppa.”
“My pleasure,” he said and gave her his most beautiful smile that made Hyoyeon melt inside. She blushed and immediately turned around and walked back to her house.
*I love you, Hyoyeon* Key thought and smiled before he went back to his house.
-A DAY BEFORE THE PARTY-
After school ended, KihyA immediately dragged Hyoyeon to buy a dress for her party. They went into many shops. KihyA threw a bunch of dresses to Hyoyeon and pushed her into the dressing room to try it on.
After trying on at least 30 over dresses, they finally made their decision on this.
After that they shopped for shoes. Both of them had their attention on this pair.
After that, they went to get party materials. Like party poppers and party streamers. KihyA was more excited than Hyoyeon even though it wasn’t her birthday because there’s a surprise.
-Day of the Party-
KihyA came earlier to help decorated the place. When there were finally done, the birthday cake arrived.
“Wahhh~” They were both elated to see the cake and their mouth starts to water. Hyoyeon’s maid pushed the cake away while KihyA and Hyoyeon went to change.
“Pretty!” KihyA said as she clasped her hands together. She help Hyoyeon to put on makeup and make her hair.
“Perfect!” KihyA exclaimed.
Hyoyeon stood up and walked towards the mirror.
“Wow…” was all she said. She was amaze at how pretty she can look. She glomped KihyA and thanked her.
“That’s what best friends are for!” KihyA beamed. She changed down too and got ready to party.
Soon, the guests start to come. Hyoyeon invited nearly the while school since she was considered as a ‘queenka’
“Happy Birthday Hyoyeon!” was what all of them said as soon as they see Hyoyeon. And she thanked them.
The last guest was also the most important one to her, SHINee, or more specifically, Key.
“Happy Birthday Hyoyeon ah!” Jonghyun exclaimed. They passed her the gifts and she led them to the side.
“Awesome party you planned…” Minho said as he looked around the house.
“Thanks, but most credits goes to KihyA,” Hyoyeon said as she nudged KihyA.
“Nahhh~ It was nothing!” KihyA said humbly.
“LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!” the DJ said.
Dance hits were played on the speakers and the teenagers were dancing all around the dance floor. Everyone was bobbing to the beat even those who don’t know how to dance. People were enjoying themselves.
Finally it was time to cut the cake. Hyoyeon’s maid pushed the cake out and everyone crowded around her. She was looking for Key but he was nowhere at sight. *where is he?*
When suddenly, the lights dimmed and a ballad song started playing from the speakers.
*What..?* Hyoyeon thought.
Everyone’s attention was at the staircase. Key was standing there with something behind his back. He walked down the staircase and towards Hyoyeon. He stood in front of her and gave her 99 stalks of roses. He cupped her cheeks and kissed her on the lips.
*M-my first kiss….* was all she thought.
“I know this is your first kiss ever, but it won’t be your last, from me,” Key said.
He took her hands and said, “ Hyoyeon, be my girlfriend?”
Hyoyeon was shock and the sudden confession but she was actually happy and glad.
“Yes. Yes I will be your girlfriend Key oppa, ” Hyoyeon said and smiled.
“YES!” Key exclaimed at pumped his fist in the air.
“You are mine, forever,” Key last said before pulling her into a passionate kiss. Everyone was cheering for them.
It was the best birthday gift and best birthday party she ever had.
